Bio:
Born and raised in a small town in western North Carolina. Graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC. During my stay at NCSA my love for photography grew and occupied much of my free time while my studio classes focused on drawing, painting, design, and sculpture. I began freelance photographic works upon his departure of NCSA. During this time I was finding himself through his work and time away from school. In 2006 I received a William R. Kenan Fellowship Grant, one of the flagship fellowships at the Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC. I completed a year residing in Kansas City, MO studying photography and acting as a studio technician at the Kansas City Art Institute. In addition, I completed two more stints at Penland, once as photography studio assistant and another as a student. I have recently completed a stint in Lumberton, NC fulfilling the position of Photojournalist for The Robesonian daily newspaper. Currently, I am residing in Los Angeles, CA working as a freelance photographer and photography studio assistant.
